Overview

Term 

What are we learning 

 

1 

Computer Networks & Cybersecurity 

Covering the fundamentals of computer networks, including topologies, packets, network hardware and internet protocols.  
Understanding cybersecurity, threats, malware and defences against them.  

2 

Legal, Ethical and Environmental concerns of computing 

Learning about the wider impacts of computing, including relevant computer and data laws, ethical discussions on a wide range of issues and environmental effects of technology. 

3 

Topic Recaps 

Recapping the key points of each topic week by week and practicing them with an array of challenge and stretch questions.  

4 

Targeted Revision and Practice 

Targeting misconceptions and identified areas of weakness which are revealed by the earlier challenge questions. Ensuring gaps are addressed.  

5 

Past Paper Revision 

Alternating practice papers week by week, identifying any remaining weaknesses and targeting revision to address them.
