Personal project development 

Students will be working towards completing the component 1 – personal project of their final GCSE. This section of the coursework is worth 60% of the final GCSE grade and as such is a vital period of learning for the students.

Exam Unit  

Students will be given their Exam Unit paper on the 2nd January. Students will then decide on a theme for their exam unit, set out by AQA. Students will then follow through with completing their Exam Unit coursework – set out by a series of project development lessons.

5 

Exam Unit and Final Exam  

Students will be working towards completing both coursework submissions for their final exam. Students will prepare a final piece and develop work based on their theme. At the end of the course in term 5 students will sit a 10-hour exam over 2 days in which they create a final piece for their Exam Unit project.
