The wearing of Academy uniform is compulsory for all pupils and a high standard of dress is required at all times.
We consider that uniform is important because:
- It provides students with a sense of identity and pride in their academy.
- It enhances the appearance of students and therefore the reputation of the academy
- It helps to instil in students a sense of purpose when they put on their uniform in the mornings.
Shirt: Plain white polo shirt
Trousers/Skirt: Plain black trousers (ankle length) or plain black skirt/ pinafore dress.
Jumper: Navy blue sweatshirt with College colour (purple for Nursery & Reception) Swindon Academy logo.
Fleece: Navy blue Academy sweatshirt with College colour trimmings
Shorts: In the summer months, tailored black shorts may be worn, or girls may wear a gingham summer dress in College or Early Years colour.
Footwear: Must be plain black and suitable for the academy. Trainers are not permitted for everyday academy wear. Ugg style boots may not be worn.
Coat/Fleece: A black outdoor coat should be worn in the cooler months.
Tights: In autumn/winter, tights should be plain grey or plain black.

Dark colour shorts (or tracksuit bottoms)
Trainers or daps
(All clothing and equipment should be clearly named)
Students may wear:
One pair of small plain studs may be worn in pierced ears. There must not be any other form of body piercing.
All items of jewellery must be removed for PE lessons.
No rings or necklaces should be worn.
