Secondary Rewards

Secondary Rewards and Recognition

Our rewards and recognitions celebrate students who demonstrate our values and consistently do the right thing. Each week, during year group assemblies, students are acknowledged for their positive actions and contributions. At the end of every term, we host a special Termly Roll Draw to highlight and celebrate all the rewards and recognitions from that term. These achievements also contribute to the College Championships, with every reward adding to a college’s total points and fostering a sense of pride and healthy competition.

Weekly Rewards

Epraise Points

E-praise points are issued to students who consistently demonstrate our Academy values and are issued by Academy teachers. Students will also gain automatic points for attendance, prep, behaviour and for outstanding attainment and progress at each assessment point.

Year Group Rewards

Each week, during year group assemblies, the Year Group Champion leads a series of rewards and recognitions celebrating student achievements in attendance, behaviour, prep completion, and alignment with our core values.

Termly Rewards

100Club

Students are rewarded against our 100 Club criteria based on:

Outstanding attendance

Outstanding prep completion

Outstanding behaviour

Each half term, students who reach these standards will receive a termly prize and are placed into a draw for a £10 voucher. Every full term, students could be awarded a bronze, silver or gold 100 Club badge which they can proudly wear on their blazers.

INSPIRE achievements

Outside the classroom, students receive ‘Achievements’ if they participate in activities included in the INSPIRE Programme. This could be something in support of the local community; demonstrating leadership skills; or perhaps trying experiences which develop their aspirations. Achievements will be shown on students’ E-praise accounts as follows:

20+ achievements = College Star Badge

30+ achievements = College Shield Badge

40+ achievements = INSPIRE Award (Glass Shield covering at least 1 achievement per pledge)

Epraise Milestones

Milestones are given for every 100 points earned. This is recognised with E-praise and students will receive a certificate.

E-postcards

We are proud to recognise students who consistently demonstrate our core values through the awarding of E-Postcards. These digital acknowledgements are displayed on each student’s Epraise account and include a personalised message explaining the reason for the recognition. At the end of each term, students who have received E-Postcards under each of our core values will be entered into a prize draw, offering an exciting opportunity to be rewarded for their contributions to our school community

Student Recognition Cards

Students are rewarded with recognition cards by staff when they are seen actively demonstrating the school’s focus value for that term. Once a student receives a recognition card, they can place it into one of the college-coloured recognition boxes to earn valuable college points and be entered into an end-of-term prize draw. This initiative encourages students to live out our values in their daily actions while fostering a sense of pride, belonging, and healthy competition across our college communities.

ECO Tickets

Each term, students have the opportunity to be recognised with an ECO ticket when staff observe them taking initiative to care for the school environment—such as picking up litter without being prompted. Once awarded, students can place their ECO ticket into one of the college-coloured boxes to earn college points and gain entry into the end-of-term prize draw. This initiative promotes environmental responsibility and celebrates students who contribute positively to the school community. This initiative is also led by our ECO Student Champions.

Enrichment Tickets

When students attend our character enrichment clubs, those who go above and beyond—showing exceptional commitment and living out our core values—can be recognised with an enrichment ticket by the staff leading the club. Students can then place their enrichment ticket into one of the college-coloured boxes to earn college points and secure a spot in the end-of-term prize draw. This system celebrates outstanding character and encourages active, values-driven participation in our enrichment programme.

Termly Roll Draw

At the end of each term, a vibrant bumper termly roll draw assembly is held in person to celebrate student achievements across the school. The assembly recognises students who have received recognition cards, ECO tickets, and enrichment tickets, with the outcomes of the termly prize draws revealed. Students who meet the criteria for the 100Club receive their termly reward at every half term, and at the end of each term, they have the opportunity to be awarded a bronze, silver, or gold 100Club badge. The assembly also highlights student leadership contributions and projects, celebrating both individual excellence and collective success throughout the term. This event

serves as a powerful moment of reflection and recognition, reinforcing the school’s values and fostering a strong sense of pride and community.
