When you register your interest for the Grammar Stream, you are invited to attend these events, so please make sure you choose a frequently used email - one per family please. NB: some events have limited numbers

Grammar Stream Information Session at Swindon Academy 

All family members are invited to attend the Grammar Stream Parents’ Information session where they hear about the Grammar Stream, the opportunities it provides, meet key personnel and senior members of staff from Marlborough College. The date for next term is

Grammar Stream In Action at Swindon Academy 

Parents and carers are invited into Swindon Academy on a weekday morning (usually 9 - 11am) to enable them to get a feel for our teaching. The morning starts with a quick introduction by the Grammar Stream leaders and then you are escorted by students on a tour of our classrooms, to get a glance into lessons. This short session is intended for parents/ carers  - we do not expect children to attend during school time. The next date is:

Taster Sessions for students

Tour and taster at Marlborough College, Wiltshire, for students and their families.

Marlborough College host a Taster Session for students while their parents have a short tour of the College and introductory talk about the role the College plays to support the Grammar Stream at Swindon Academy.  NB: participants should make their own travel arrangements, free parking on site

Taster Lesson: Maths Mastery and English Excellence

To help pupils decide if they enjoy the level of challenge provided in Grammar Stream, we are holding a Taster Session (for Year 6 and Year 5 students) in English and Maths, at Swindon Academy. The next date is Saturday 20 January 2024 10am - 12pm
