We are incredibly proud and privileged to have successful working partnerships with Marlborough College and many local businesses. These partnerships play a key part in providing exceptional learning experiences for our students and support our vision to enable them to Dream Big, Aim High, Reach Far. The enriching activities that our partners provide help us to develop students who are confident, resilient, independent and willing to face challenges in the knowledge that they have the skills to succeed.
Our prestigious partnership with Marlborough College has grown over fifteen years into a thriving and constantly evolving association. The Grammar Stream was launched in 2016 and continues to thrive with the College's support. Students from Swindon Academy and Marlborough College spend time together at Subject Residentials from Year 9 into Sixth Form and students in Year 10 build strong friendships and gain new experiences from their student exchanges. United College Sixth Form students receive support with UCAS application writing and our primary students benefit from visits to Marlborough College, where they have the opportunity to see the Observatory and engage in cultural events.
We are very fortunate to have a wide range of businesses who work alongside us to support in preparing our young people for the world of work. Employees from local companies are involved in mentoring programmes for our students, providing beneficial coaching and guidance, which students have found really useful. In addition, local businesses engage in interview days, support students in writing their CVs, Careers Fairs, and our now well established ABC Week each year around 8 July.
