Academy Policies

Swindon Academy takes the education and safeguarding of its students and staff very seriously. We have policies in place to ensure that procedures and processes are clear both for staff and for parents and to ensure that we do the very best we can for our students in all circumstances. We ask therefore that anyone involved with our academy follows our policies politely, respectfully and consistently.

Below are key policies available for download but if you wish to have a paper copy of any of these policies or would like to see a policy that is not displayed, please contact reception on 01793 426900 who will be happy to arrange for it to be printed out for you.

Proposed Admissions Arrangements for September 2027

On behalf of the United Learning Trust, the Governors Swindon Academy are consulting on a proposal to alter the school's Published Admission Number from September 2027. We propose to reduce the Published Admission Number for Primary to 60.

The rationale for this change is because of the fall in the birth rate nationally and locally, resulting in the school having too many available places which makes strategic planning more difficult.

In line with the requirements of the Admissions Code 2014, this consultation seeks to engage with parents and carers of children already at the school, as well as future parents of the school, the staff, other local admissions authorities and other interested parties. The consultation is open for six weeks, and responses must be received by 31st January 2026.

The consultation will run from 18th December 2026 to 31st January 2027 If you have any comments on the proposed changes, please email Miss Kaylie Hill kaylie.hill@swindon-academy.org - call 01793 426900 or write to:
