How to Apply

At United College Sixth Form, we treat all students as individuals and ensure that all advice and guidance given is in line with their qualifications, interests, career aspirations and skills.

For entry into Mainstream United College Sixth Form students must gain at least grade 5 – 9, or equivalent, in five or more GCSEs including English and maths. Students will also need to achieve at least grade 5 in the subjects they wish to study at A Level. If a student will be studying a new subject, their achievement in a similar GCSE subject will be considered. Any entry requirements that differ from this are stated in specific course details.

To apply for a place at United College Sixth Form, please use the link below. Include as much detail as you can about yourself, what you enjoy and anything about your future plans. This helps us to design your Sixth Form studies and extra curricular activities to suit you. Once you've submitted your form, you can download what you have written for your reference.

We will be in touch to discuss next steps, and your interview date.

Students receive a letter offering them a provisional place, which is confirmed following GCSE results day in August.  The letter will detail the subjects the student will be studying in the Sixth Form, or an invitation to speak with us further about your subject choices based on your results.  We welcome applications from students across Swindon and the surrounding area.

If you still have any questions about your Application, you can email our Sixth Form Directors, Mr Lewis joe.lewis@swindon-academy.org or Mrs Dodsworth laura.dodsworth@swindon-academy.org .
