Smaller Class Sizes
At United College Sixth Form, class sizes are smaller than you'd find at college, creating a close family feel. This means that students develop relationships with their teachers faster, and because of this, they can benefit from more individualised learning. It also enables teachers to know students well, give greater levels of attention to their individual needs, and monitor their progress.
Smaller class sizes also enable students to get to know each other well, look out for and support each other. This creates a warm and supportive learning environment where it is not just the teachers who are noticing students’ changing needs, but their peers are also there for them.
Despite having smaller class sizes, the sixth form is large enough for there to be a diverse mix of students across both Years 12 and 13 and provide lots of opportunities for students to meet new people and make new friends.
