Students at Swindon Academy are celebrating another year of fantastic A-level results.

Bright hopes and dreams for the future filled the room with one student Ash Harper achieving remarkable results that secured her place in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Reading University. After having also achieved impressive results another student Cameron Paddon is kickstarting a fantastic career path by gaining a Solicitor Apprenticeship at Osborne Clarke. Many more of the school’s students have also achieved strong grades, enabling them to take up places at a range of Russell Group universities.

Among those Sixth Formers celebrating today are:

• Ruby Head, who achieved A*, A, A and will be going to the University of Exeter to study English and Creative Writing;
• Jakub Pazderski, who achieved A*, A*, A and will be going to the University of Bristol to study Accounting and Finance;
• Lily Adams, who achieved an A*, A*, and B will be going to the University of Exeter to study Conservation Biology & Ecology;
• Fatima Costa, who achieved A*, A, and D and will be going to York University to study Architecture;
• Leyland Butler, who achieved D*D (Distinction), and C, and will be going to the University of Wales Trinity Saint David to study Drama;
• Dylan Meyer, who achieved A*, A*, B, and will be going to Bristol University to study Maths & Computer Science;

 

Lorraine Jordan, Secondary Headteacher at Swindon Academy, said:

“We are extremely proud of all our A-level students collecting their results today. There have been a significant number of students this year who have not only achieved top grades but top grades across all their subjects. We are extremely proud of each and every one of them and we wish them the best of luck in their next steps may that be at the university of their choice, an apprenticeship or into the world of work.
