How to Apply

At Swindon Academy, we treat all students as individuals and ensure that all advice and guidance given is in line with students' qualifications, interests, career aspirations and skills.

For entry into Mainstream United College Sixth Form students must gain at least grade 5 – 9, or equivalent, in five or more GCSEs including English and maths. Students will also need to achieve at least grade 5 in the subjects they wish to study at A Level. If a student will be studying a new subject, their achievement in a similar GCSE subject will be considered. Any entry requirements that differ from this are stated in the course details.

Whether you have already decided that United College Sixth Form is the place for you, or if you are curious about what we can offer, we would be delighted to hear from you.  Please view our Prospectus for more information on our Sixth Form.

Here you will find an online Application Form or you have the option to download and print off the Application Form and send it back to us.   Please see our Sixth Form Courses page for more information.

Students will receive a letter offering them a provisional place, which is confirmed following GCSE results day in August.  The letter will detail the subjects you will be studying in the Sixth Form or an invitation to speak with us about your subject choices based on your GCSE results.  We look forward to hearing from you.

We welcome applications from students across Swindon to join United College Sixth Form.
