Academy Life Overview

At Swindon Academy

  • We always strive to do our best
  • We celebrate achievement
  • We work together
  • We make the most of our opportunities

Students at Swindon Academy are expected to act with courtesy and consideration to others at all times.  This means being punctual and arriving at lessons properly equipped. During the lessons, all students are expected to be attentive, co-operative and orderly.   Movement about the school should be quiet and mannerly, being always mindful of the needs and safety of others.

Courtesy towards staff and visitors is expected of students at all times. The same standards are expected when participating in any school event, as well as when travelling to and from school.  We have high expectations in relation to behaviour towards other students; bullying and verbal abuse are never acceptable and will not be tolerated.

At Swindon Academy, we take pride in the appearance of our students therefore, correct uniform should always been worn to school unless instructed otherwise.

The academy buildings, grounds and property should be treated with respect. Students are expected to put litter into bins, recycling wherever possible, and eat in designated areas only. Students are expected to show this same level of respect to the personal property of others both in and out of school.

Our hopes and aspirations are high for our students.  Staff work with students and parents to do everything they can to help students achieve their dreams.  We live and breathe our vision:

  • Dream Big
  • Aim High
  • Reach Far
