The Government has announced working families will be able to access 30 hours of free childcare for their 3 and 4 year old's from September 2017.
Swindon Borough Council has been chosen to be an early implementer, meaning a small number of families will be able to access additional funding a year early from September 2016.
To help the Department for Education and Local Authority plan for September 2017, it is important to understand the childcare needs of working families to ensure sufficient places are available as flexibly as individual families require.
Please see below the website link to a parental demand survey relating to 30 hours free childcare. You can complete this survey regardless of age of child or whether the parents currently pay for hours or are receiving funding.
The survey gives parents the chance to have their say on how the 30 hours should be delivered locally from September 2017. It will help the Department for Education and the Local Authority plan for the offer and ensure sufficient places are available as flexibly as parents require.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.
