Virtual Informaton Events
Parents who are interested in sending their child to Swindon Academy's Reception classes are invited to attend our Virtual Information Events on Tuesday 15th December as below. These sessions will be delivered by each of the Headteachers and will help to provide you with information you will want to know in advance of you deciding which school you would like your child to go to. There will be some time for you to ask questions. Please click on the below that is relevant to the site you are interested in.
Beech Avenue Site - Tuesday 15th December at 9.00am
At the Online Event above, a Powerpoint presentation was shared with parents to provide more information. If you missed the event, or you want to remind yourself of what was said, you can access this information here.
Alton Close Site - Friday 8th January at 10.00am - link to be made shortly
Parents' Handbooks
Parents can also find out more about each of our sites by glancing through the Primary Parents' Handbooks. Please click on the images below to read the Primary Parents’ Handbook, either for the Beech Avenue or Alton Close sites. These documents will provide you with lots of information about our Primary Phase that will help you prepare your child for joining Reception.

What happens next?
- Once you have decided where you want your child to attend school, you will need to complete the online process with Swindon Borough Council to apply for a place. The instructions of how to do this can be found on our Applying for a Reception Place webpage.
- We hope that before your child starts with us in Reception, we will be able to run a session for families to come in and see our lovely classroom environment with your own eyes.
Preparing for Primary School
