The Chapel at Marlborough College was packed out on Monday 14th December for the Swindon Academy annual Carol Service. The message this year focused on the plight of refugees throughout the world. This was represented by poems read by staff and enacted by students dressed as refugees and emulates the story of Mary and Joseph with was also told with bible readings and re-enacted by students.
Joyous singing by the primary and secondary choir was accompanied by the packed congregation of pupils in year 4 to 8 as well as parents and distinguished guests.
Mrs Robinson, Lord Carey and school Chaplin, Simon Halls, addressed the audience while Rebecca Timms and Holly Norris entertained with solo performances.
We thank all the singers, narrators and actors for wonderful performances and we thank our Partner, Marlborough College, for the use of the Chapel which always makes the Carol Service a very special occasion.
