United College Sixth Form
Choosing the right Sixth Form could be a crucial step in setting up your child’s successful future. United College Sixth Form, based at Swindon Academy’s Beech Avenue site, attracts more than a third of its students from other schools, and continues to build on its reputation for academic achievement. Key to our performance is how we coach our young people through to their next stage in life, be it higher education, or the start of their career. They directly benefit from our external relationships with industry and Marlborough College, and the vast majority of our Sixth Form leavers move into their chosen field.
There are two streams at United College Sixth Form. Students who are particularly gifted and aim to study Maths, Technology, Sciences and Engineering at university can join the STEM Grammar Stream. The General Sixth Form offers a wide range of highly regarded vocational and academic courses, including subjects as diverse as English Literature or Criminology; Food Science and Nutrition; Dance or Sport.
United College Sixth Form require Grades 5-9 in at least five GCSE’s and all applicants will be interviewed. It can be daunting deciding which qualifications are needed to aim for a particular job. During the selection process we offer advice on the best subject choices to make. Places are offered once GCSE results are known. If you wish to apply for a place in our Sixth Form, please do so online here.
