ShP Enterprise Day
As part of Global Entrepreneurship week the entire year 7 group worked with a company called ShP (Second Hand Phones). The company recycles old electronic products such as mobile phones, computers and anything that contains a circuit board.
The students had to create a business which was eco-friendly and would benefit the environment. The students worked in teams of ten and nominated a Managing Director; Marketing Director; Finance Manager and an Advertising Executive. Each group needed to analyse the different strengths within their team in order to decide who should fill these roles.
The company brought actors with them so that they can assist students with their advertising campaign. As part of the presentation session, students produced sketches; raps; dances and songs in order to advertise their company.
The company that emerged as the winning team was called ‘Green Garbage’. They collected unwanted rubbish and used it to create fuel. They also recycled old washing machines then replace the old one with a newer affordable one. The winning team were presented with a glass trophy.
