Drop in sessions for parents
The secondary pastoral team consists of Miss Claire Cummings who works with Years 7, 8 and 9 Mrs Sharon Aplin who works with Years 10 and 11.
The pastoral role covers many aspects of a child’s academic and personal life, some of the areas of support are:
- Ensuring they are happy and successful in their school life
- Attendance
- Support with transition, revision and coursework
- Working alongside you child’s tutor
- Working closely with the local community, their families and outside agencies
- Ensuring and supporting your child to follow all Swindon Academy school policies
We will be holding drop in sessions for parents. We will be available to listen to any queries or concerns you may have and work with you to resolve these.
Drop in times will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 8.35 - 9.35am. Please just come along and report to reception. If these times are not suitable for you appointments are available on request by contacting Swindon Academy reception.
Parents of primary aged children are welcome to drop in and speak to their son or daughter's class teacher daily when dropping off in the morning or collecting in the afternoon.
