Swindon Academy Gains National Recognition
Swindon Academy has gained national recognition for its improvement in GCSE attainment over the past three years. It was one of only 5 schools in the South West of England to gain such recognition, at the Most Improved Schools Awards Ceremony, held in London on Wednesday 23rd March 2011.
This ceremony was organised by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) to celebrate the achievement of schools across the country.
The Principal, Jan Shadick, is delighted, she says “this award recognises the hard work and commitment of the staff, students and parents at Swindon Academy. Together we are now one of the most improved schools in the country and we are adding more value to our students learning than any other Swindon school. I am very proud of the team here”.
