Football Academy


Course Content

  • 12 hours of education per week studying either A Level courses or a BTEC Level 3 Sport qualification, alongside your football
  • 10 hours of practical coaching sessions per week
  • Training and mentoring sessions led by experienced and qualified coaches
  • Organised matches and football industry experiences
  • Gain FA Level 1 Coaching Award

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of 5A*-C grades at GCSE, including English and maths
  • Regular football involvement
  • A keen interest and passion for all aspects of football, such as playing, coaching, officiating, game analysis, football media and business

Progression Routes

  • University or American scholarships
  • Job opportunities within the leisure industry
  • Apprenticeships within the leisure industry
  • Opportunities to trial with professional and top non-league football clubs

All of the students on our Sports Academy Scholarship Programmes are provided with an opportunity to access support and university application guidance with UCFB.  UCFB are World First in higher Education, UCFB offers university degrees in the football business and wider sport and events industries.
