Expressives - Art, Drama and Music
As a Faculty we believe the Arts provide a universal language through which we can encourage our students to express common aspirations and experiences. As such Art, Music and Drama have always been a channel for appreciating and understanding the diversity of people through different cultures and times. In contemporary society, the use of visual, musical and dramatic media bombard our senses on a daily basis.
The specific skills taught across our subjects enable our students to create interesting and vibrant pieces of work and/or performances. They are also encouraged to develop skills of cooperation and valuable life and leadership skills.
There are a variety of opportunities for students from all ages to get involved with performances and displays of their work and a series of clubs run in-school that students can join.
- Recent opportunities include:
- Canterbury Cathedral 125yr celebration of ULT
- Cheltenham College Chapel
- Joint music/art drama project on Arabian Nights
- Wyvern Drama Performances
- Art Trip to New York
- A'Level Art Exhibition at central Swindon Gallery
