Academy Working Partnerships Overview

Swindon Academy is very fortunate to have working partnerships with Honda, @Futsal and Marlborough College.  Our students benefit greatly from the additional value that these working partners extend.

Honda works with students providing them with opportunities to prepare for the world of work, attending interview days where they take aptitude tests and sit a full interview with a team of professionals at the Honda Manufacturing UK plant in Swindon.  In addition Honda supports the academy in delivering the Science Specialism with Business and Enterprise.  Students have many opportunities to see working robots and understand engineering.

Marlborough College and Swindon Academy work together to engage in student exchanges, attending each others classes and sharing school experiences.  In addition students are given opportunities to attend a variety of events at each establishment.

Our partnership with @Futsal provides a really useful opportunity for our students.  Our innovative partnership with them is inspiring our students, driving aspirations and developing their minds.  The postiive effects of this partnership with Year 9 students are rippling through our community and encouraging families to work and play together.   More recently we have developed a ground breaking scholarship programme with @Futsal whereby Swindon Academy provides the educational element of the scholarship programme and @Futsal provide the player coaching and development for sixth form students.
